Lazy week

We had a pretty lazy week. We went to a couple of play dates and just hung out. Josh has been out of town all week so it has just been me and the kids. A little while ago, when Brady would fall down or bump something he would tell me he has a boo boo. I would always kiss it and he would then say "it's all better". This has been our routine. Now when he falls he calls me "mama doctor, I got boo boo, I need kiss" So last night, I tucked him in, read him a story and gave him a kiss and said, "goodnight, my Brady, love you." As I was walking out the door he says, "love you mama doctor, goodnight"

Yesterday, I heard screaming from the playroom. I ran to see what was going on and I found Harper stuck in the baby swing. Both her and Brady know they can not fit in the swing. They have been putting all of Harper's dolls in the swing. I never thought she would try to swing herself.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Sunday November 2, 2008
We try to go out to breakfast as often as possible on Sundays. This Sunday Josh went into the office early to get some work finished. Brady and Harper love pancakes and I thought why should this Sunday be any different. I made them pancakes for breakfast and put chocolate chips in them to add a little fun. Brady ate his fine, Harper on the other hand made a huge mess. She normally makes a mess eating but this was way beyond any other mess she has made. There were chocolate chips smooshed all through her hair. I had to give her a bath after breakfast. What a day we had. Next Sunday I think we'll go out or I'll make "plain" pancakes. LOL

Halloween Party

Brady in the bounce house

This past weekend was my Mom's club Halloween Party! We had so much fun. The kids played and I painted faces. There was awesome food and prizes for the kiddos. My girlfriend had it at her house and it was so nice. She has a great place for parties, so much room. The kids did not want to leave and Brady kept asking to go back and play. What a great way to spend our Saturday.

Halloween

Brady not feeling too well

Brady trying to steal another piece

We had a tough week of Halloween. We were all sick, every single one of us had a bad cold. We went out and got costumes for the kids and Brady was going to be Thomas the Train and Harper a witch. Brady would not put his costume on. I tried all sorts of bribes and things and still a no go. He just kept on saying "No Thomas, Sorry mama" I of course let it go, we will have many more Halloween costumes in the future to argue over. But because he would not dress up, he could not go trick or treating dressed as a 2 yr. old child. He was fine with that, he would of rather stayed and helped Josh and I pass out treats to the other kids. (and eat the candy himself)

Missing Family

This past weekend my sister and brother-in-law and nephew came to visit us! We had a wonderful time! I can not believe how big my nephew Jack is getting and how much he resembles my dad. It was so good to see Kerri. I miss her so much. You do not realize how much you miss someone until they come and visit you, and then you have to say goodbye all over again. It is like a double-edged sword! And I do not realize how much I miss "home" (Ohio) until someone from "home" comes to visit. This is my favorite time of year in Ohio, I love the fall! All the colors and the smells. Nothing beats a cool, crisp Sunday, watching football and smelling the burning leaves!

Texas on the other hand is just starting to cool off. This is making going out easier again and playing at the park a lot more enjoyable. I do not have to worry about the kids burning themselves on the playground equiptment. I am looking forward for the coming weeks of Halloween and some parties we have planned!

Here are some pictures of our weekend.
Enjoy!

Bath Time

Every night we have the same routine. Bath time starts around 7:45. Tonight was no different. Both kids get in the tub and then we brush our teeth and then I wash them, get them out and dry them off and put their P.J.'s on. All of this takes place in the bathroom (of course) and the dressing takes place in Harper's room. Why Harper's room? I am not sure, but it always has. Tonight for some reason, Brady was really hyper. And I forgot to have his P.J.'s ready for me in Harper's room. After both kids were dry and I had diapers on and only Harper had her P.J.'s on, I ran to Brady's room to grab his. In all of 35 seconds max, Brady had gotten the powder down from the shelf and proceeded to put it all over himself and Harper. I walked into the room when he was spraying it in Harper's face. She was laughing up to the point I yelled, "What are you doing?" Then she looked so scared... Brady just laughed and said "outer, mama outer" I said, "Yes, Brady I see you found the Powder." He then replied "More outer mama, pease?"

(I had the camera ready because I meant to grab some pics of them in the tub)
